The first post is always the hardest…

There are always beginnings and endings. As I have journeyed through the world of sales, in the ICT industry, I have always known my purpose. Recently, I lost an account through my own stupidity, and not from lack of attention to detail, rather, my extremely good research and analytical skills let me down. I researched information on the public arena, made some conclusions and was correct. The person that I relayed this information to was appalled that I was talking about classified information, and had me removed from his account.

There are a couple of things worth noting. I don’t have access to classified material, I have no clearance. I never need it in my current role, I don’t actually engage with end users. I never had access to any information that couldn’t be sourced via google, in fact that is where I primarily got my information. Drawing conclusions, making an educated guess, call it what you will, but at the end of the day, if I cannot be permitted to make suppositions and an educated guess, I cannot be expected to function in my current role, in my current company or the industry I love so much.

As a wise old man keeps telling me, it is just another thread in the tapestry of Life…
